Summary: This research aims to investigate the intensity in which the analytical orientation of companies can impact on their process innovations. This research also proposes to develop a more comprehensive and consistent concept for a subject that is still emerging in the academic world, which is the concept of Business Analytics (BA). The theoretical platform uses is Decision Process and Competitive Intelligence. The methodology that will be applied in this research is the structural equation model (SEM), in order to confirm the relationships established in the proposed structural model, which will be considered the following constructs: Analytical skills, analytical technology, high quality of data, leadership, analytical strategy, Business Analytics and process innovation. The process of data collection is being conducted through a database of clients of SAS, one of the most important providers of analytic solutions in the world, with U.S. headquarters and branches spread all over the world, including Brazil, which gives greater consistency in research results. The study concluded that Business Analytics (BA) has a strong impact on Innovation Process and the strategy construct has a great predictive relevance in BA.
