Summary: The objective of this research was to understand the ways in which managers learn to
prevent mobbing in organizations. Mobbing field of studies is expanding, and some
studies indicate that organizations must prepare their leaders to deal with mobbing
prevention. This study seeks to fill a gap in the field of mobbing, which is to deepen the
ways these managers learn to prepare themselves for issues of mobbing, further than
the training process suggested by the main studies. This research demonstrated the
main forms of learning and mobbing prevention strategies that managers use in their
routines, with emphasis on reflective learning processes and the influence of positive
leadership conduct as an example in preventing mobbing. In this way, the research
contributes to deepening the direction that the main studies in the mobbing field
attribute to the preparation that managers need, in order to lead preventive efforts in
organizations.
