Summary: The aim of this study was to monitor the work activity of granites beneficiation processes using humidification, that is, the water, based on the Ergology theory and therefore conceived the work as a human activity. The goal was to understand the "use by oneself and others", the "uses of the body itself" and renormalizations in humidification processes for health and safety promotion in granite processing in an organization located in the Espírito Santo. The research problem is outlined as following as the health and safety of workers interrelate with the "use of the body itself" in humidification processes among the risks of the job? The research is justified by the economic importance of the stone sector for the state of the Espírito Santo, and from the point of view of workers' health. The importance from the perspective of organizational studies is reinforced by the fact approaching this field of ergological approach and deal with the notion of "use of the body itself ', recent development of the concept of" dramatic use of self "Schwartz. Therefore, a study was conducted by clues introduced by mapping in conjunction with the theoretical and conceptual framework of Ergology. The following techniques for data collection were used: participant observation, engaging in the field and editing a diary during 5 months (July-November 2015), with an average of 2 visits per week; 10 interviews with operational workers who worked in processes using humidification, these semi-structured and in depth of about 54 minutes each; an interview with the responsible production and People Management
