Summary: The management of the contemporary organizations have experienced a series of transformations since the advent of the traditional approaches suggested by Taylor and Fayol at the beginning of the XX century, when it launched a proposal for systematization and rationalisation of the ways to manage processes. In the competitive scenario, from the 1990's, successful organizations have sought to manage not only their tangible, but also the knowledge. That opportunity arose scholarly works, consultants and literature on the knowledge management, organizational learning, intangible assets and intellectual capital. This paper aims to describe and analyze attempt of Knowledge Management in the decision making process of credit analysis of Development Bank of Espírito Santo (BANDES) from the practice of the Credit Committee (COCRE) and the perception of its members on the subject. To do so, was a literature review of the theories about the decision and the Knowledge Management. But to build a base of reflection for the empirical study, allowing a closer view of the individual inserted in the context of the Knowledge Management at BANDES, was also a literature review on the work immaterial and buildings criticism regarding the Knowledge Management. Were used two sources of data for seizure: direct observation of meetings of COCRE and interviews with its members. The data analysis, with emphasis on the qualitative character, was based on speech analysis, allowing a reflective view on the attempt to roll the Knowledge Management and understanding of participants about their deployment in BANDES. Analyzed is the consistency of speeches, the character of persuasion of the speech presented, the dimensions of power between members of COCRE, internal conflicts and symbolic dimension of the meetings of COCRE. After the analysis of data highlights that: the turnover in BANDES and its impact on the loss of tacit knowledge is a worrying factor in the optics of the members of COCRE; the respondents have a speech in defence of the organisation arguing the policy of growth and conversion to tacit knowledge into explicit as an alternative to turnover, in practice social meetings of COCRE realizes it is the use of forms of belief by some members, characterizing a polarity in power for a decision, the existence of cognitive in the decision making process, emphasizing if the expectations, fears, intuitions, feelings, or experiences of the members.
