Summary: The crisis of Capitalism, as well as its reactions, have brought about profound changes in the labor world, such as structural unemployment; That´s because less stable jobs and more outsourced work are needed. Thus, the goal of this research is describe the perspectives of the fired outsourced workers and of the labor union of the metal mechanical sector in Grande Vitória according to the following binomial: work and life quality in times of Capitalist crisis. The methodology chosen was The Case Study and the technique used was the collection of secondary data and semistructured interviews. The individuals researched were workers who had been fired and were about to rescind their contracts in the labor union. An analysis of the documents from the union´s data collection, as well as the testimonies obtained in the interviews was made through Content Analysis. It was noticed that flexibility is directly connected to the poor labor conditions, for the outsourced workers very often are not entitled to the same rights as those hired in big companies around Grande Vitória. We’ve observed that outsourcing motivates a turnover of laborers and engenders resignation, which makes difficult an analysis of the consequences of subcontractions and of how resistant the outsourced laborers are. The turnover also makes the unions´activities difficult, and they have not yet found an answer to the logic of Capitalism and have been acting to maintain a temporary stability of their jobs and rights already obtained in collective labor conventions.
