Summary: This paper analyzes the dynamics of political consciousness of undergraduate students in business administration, a federal brazilian public University on the participation in collective actions to fight corruption in Brazil. The discussion is based on the analysis model of political awareness for understanding participation in collective actions (SANDOVAL; SILVA, 2016). The data were collected and analyzed in two steps, by means of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews in 2017 and subjected to content analysis (BARDIN, 2011). Students who participate have a political awareness of conflict (SANDOVAL, 1989), knowing that your participation as a citizen is necessary, but not essential, due to the feeling of low political effectiveness of his actions, shaking the desire to participate in collective actions. Students who are not already has a political consciousness of common sense (SANDOVAL, 1994), did demonstrate reduced ability of critical analysis about facts relating to corruption and indifference to political issues. It is concluded that the greater the feeling of belonging to a collective, sharing of political ideologies, worldview, and the identification of persons or groups with interests contrary to yours, the higher the boosting to participate in collective actions against corruption. On the other hand, the smaller the feelings of group identity, ability to intervene in situations involving corruption, of shared interests and affinity with goals and actions repertoire of moves to fight corruption, the greater the motivation to act collectively.
